The story behind the name
In October 2020, we held a contest to find our new mascot a name. The winning entry came from Arlene S. of British Columbia, who chose the name Ember because “it only takes an ember to start a fire. An ember can turn smouldering ground fire to a forest fire in moments.” Arlene lives in a forested area and is passionate about FireSmart.
